Service, Support & Radio Licensing
We've got you covered
Our hire service is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. Technically supported by our accredited engineers, we provide an exceptional service, on-call or on-site, throughout your hire period.
CSE Crosscom radio hire services and support include:
- Coverage Survey – For seamless communication across expansive areas, CSE Crosscom can offer a comprehensive coverage survey. This in-depth evaluation measures signal strength and identifies any potential weak spots that may require additional infrastructure or specialised equipment. With this approach, we ensure consistent and reliable connectivity to support your operations, no matter the scale.
- Radio Frequency Management – When you hire from CSE Crosscom, we configure your radios to meet the specific needs of your operation whether it’s through digital or analogue programming. Our team ensures that all equipment is programmed to comply with the relevant regulations set by Ofcom, ensuring your operation runs smoothly and within legal requirements.
- Site Configuration – In addition to managing the frequencies of the radios you hire, CSE Crosscom offers site-wide frequency management to minimise the risk of cross-channel interference. This proactive approach helps you avoid potential issues, including legal consequences related to unauthorised frequency use.
- Radio Allocation Labels – To streamline radio allocation and tracking, CSE Crosscom provides each radio with a unique label, this label can feature a crew name or department along with your own channel plan listed on the radio. This makes it easy for you to assign handsets to individuals or departments, helping to monitor equipment throughout the hire period and reducing the chances of loss or misplacement.
- Engineering Radio Support – CSE Crosscom is renowned for our exceptional service and customer support. Throughout your hire period, our dedicated service engineers and hire team are available to provide expert assistance, whether it’s through telephone support or on-site visits. Whatever your needs, we are committed to ensuring seamless operations and a smooth experience from start to finish.
OFCOM radio licensing from CSE Crosscom
CSE Crosscom provides radio hire services across the UK, utilising our short-term hire frequencies to ensure reliable communication.
For standard radio hires at building sites, projects, or events, CSE Crosscom provides radios using standard hire frequencies at no additional cost. This license, held by CSE Crosscom and issued by Ofcom, allows for the use of these frequencies. However, it is important to note that this license does not guarantee immunity from interference, as all radio suppliers are allocated the same frequencies for hire use across the UK.
For critical communication needs, especially on high-stakes projects or large-scale events, we recommend applying for dedicated frequencies to minimise the risk of interference. This additional service, which incurs extra charges, ensures that your radios will operate with minimal disruption, giving you peace of mind throughout the hire period.
International Radio Licensing
If you are hiring radios for use outside the UK, a radio license specific to the country of use will be required. The CSE Crosscom hire team is happy to assist with any licensing applications needed to ensure smooth and uninterrupted communication wherever your event or show takes place.
