Motorola Solutions to cancel MOTOTRBO DP2000e Series

Motorola Solutions has officially announced the cancellation of its MOTOTRBO DP2000e Series portable radios, marking a significant transition in its professional radio communications product line-up. In a bulletin dated April 17, 2025, the company confirmed that final orders for the DP2000e series will be accepted until May 30, 2025, with a last customer requested ship date of June 30, 2025.

The DP2000e series, which includes both the DP2400e and DP2600e models across VHF and UHF variants, has served a broad range of industries with reliable digital communication. However, as part of an ongoing effort to streamline and modernise its offerings, Motorola Solutions is replacing the line with the newly introduced MOTOTRBO R5 Series.

In terms of ongoing support, Motorola Solutions has committed to providing software and technical support for up to five years following the product’s cancellation date. Hardware repair services will be available only to customers with active service contracts at the time of cancellation. Repairs for units not covered under contract may still be offered, contingent upon parts availability.

This move underscores Motorola’s continued focus on advancing its digital radio solutions, improving performance, and meeting evolving user needs with more flexible and feature-rich options.
