CSE Crosscom Powers Dermot Kennedy’s The Weight Of The Woods Tour

CSE Crosscom was proud to support Dermot Kennedy’s dedicated production crew throughout The Weight of The Woods Tour, providing reliable radio communications across Europe.

From busking on the streets of Dublin to headlining the city’s iconic Aviva Stadium, Dermot Kennedy’s journey has been remarkable. His latest project, The Weight of The Woods, saw the singer songwriter return to his roots, bringing the theme of the woodland to life as he transformed the Aviva Stadium into an immersive forest inspired setting for two of the biggest headline shows of his career.

Behind every major touring production is a dedicated crew working across multiple departments and locations to bring the artist’s vision to life. Reliable communication is essential to keeping these teams connected, particularly as productions travel from venue to venue across different countries.

Reliable tour radio hire across Europe

CSE Crosscom supplied Motorola Solutions R7 Full Keypad radios, programmed with a multi zone configuration to provide reliable communications for the crew across Europe.

The system was designed around the demands of a touring production, providing the flexibility required for crews working across different venues and locations throughout the tour.

With multiple teams working behind the scenes, dependable radio communications helped keep crew members connected and supported the smooth coordination of each production.

Touring radio hire built for the road

To make transportation and deployment as straightforward as possible, the complete CSE Crosscom communications system was housed in a custom flightcase.

The flightcase provided a robust and practical solution for transporting the radios between venues, while allowing the equipment to be quickly deployed and packed away as the tour progressed.

For touring productions, having communications equipment that can withstand the demands of life on the road while remaining easy to deploy is essential. CSE Crosscom’s solution was designed with exactly these requirements in mind.

CSE Crosscom’s Dan Howroyd commented:

“Supporting touring productions requires communications equipment that is reliable, robust, and easy to deploy. We’re proud to continue working alongside Dermot Kennedy’s production team, providing a solution that helps keep crews connected throughout every stage of the tour. We look forward to supporting many more successful productions in the future.”
